Sunday Worship Service:

SCRIPTURE - Lamentations 3: 22-24
Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."
Thoughts:
Lamentations is a book of grief, a book of pain. While it was written directly to the Jewish people to help them with the pain they suffered, dear friends, it can also help us with the pain and grief we are suffering during Covid-19.
Just as the author of Lamentations did not know when a new hope would come, we do not know when a new hope will come for us, but the important thing is to wait, wait and wait some more if that is what it takes.
Great is thy Faithfulness is my favorite hymn. I do not know when or how that happened, but I'm so glad it did. Perhaps it came just for such a time as this when I, and everyone else, needs to realize that God is always faithful, no matter how long it may take or how much suffering must be endured.
Prayer:
Great is your faithfulness, Loving God. Thank you for the new mercies and blessings that greet us each morning. Thank you for all you have provided. We know there are many who are suffering, who are in need. We ask that they may be led to lean on you and learn to know of your faithfulness to each of us. Amen.
